Food $ense Coordinator Assistant

 

 

This person reports directly to the Food $ense Coordinator. 

Job description includes the following tasks:

 

• May assist coordinator in food and supply purchasing

 

• Ingredient preparation (eg. preparation of:  master or magic mixes, slice, dice, divide and package ingredients for each school)

 

• Storing some ingredients at home refrigerator, freezer or dry pantry

 

• Assist before, during and after Food $ense programs at designated school or site

 

• Assistance at schools may include but not limited to:  cooking set up, supervising elementary & middle school students, providing cooking and health safety guidance to small student group, organizing and inventory of Food $ense pantry, clean up, carrying items into car.

 

• Make copies of handouts

 

• Take digital pictures or footage

 

• Record and share observations and comments of students in program with program coordinator

 

• Distribute and collect pre and post evaluations

 

• Anticipate and communicate needs and challenges whenever possible to program coordinator.

 

 

Hours:  up to 18 hours/week

 

Drive time:  include the hours on time slip

 

Hourly rate:  $12/hour
