As a top-ranked Carnegie research institution, WSU Spokane puts advancing knowledge through world-class scholarship at the heart of its mission.
Our research plays an increasingly important role both in the vitality of the Inland Northwest economy and the strength of the WSU system.
Research at Washington State University Spokane is increasingly contributing to the overall research goals and mission of Washington State University. Over the past five years research expenditures have increased by approximately fifteen percent per year.
As a consequence of new opportunities and campus development, continued research growth is anticipated. Much of the research growth is a consequence of collaboration between Pullman and Spokane programs.
The Office of Research at WSU Spokane works closely with the
Office of
Research in Pullman to process research proposals, negotiate contracts, and
facilitate the conduct of research and scholarly activities in a coordinated
fashion. The Office of Research also provides faculty development
opportunities in the form of a WSU Spokane Seed Grant Program in partnership
with the College of Nursing and College of Pharmacy. Faculty at all of
Washington State University campuses are eligible to apply for this program.
I hope the information contained on our web pages will help you understand
