Clinical Placement

The AHEC works collaboratively with several health profession schools to coordinate student clinical placements in rural and urban underserved sites. The AHEC at Washington State University Spokane works with the following programs on clinical placements: UW School of Medicine, MEDEX Northwest Physician Assistant Program, WSU College of Pharmacy, Intercollegiate College of Nursing, Gonzaga University Nurse Practitioner Program, University Programs in Communication Disorders (WSU/EWU), EWU Physical Therapy Program, and the EWU Occupational Therapy Program. The AHEC also coordinates with professional schools outside of Washington State for rotations within Washington.
