Planning
Sessions
Whether you call it “strategic planning," "action planning," or just plain old ordinary planning, AHEC facilitators can
help lead your group through the process.
Environmental scans, evaluating opportunities
and threats, asset mapping, visioning, developing mission statements and goals,
brain-storming, etc. are all parts of effective planning. As outside, neutral parties
familiar with the health care field, we can help your group take an honest look at itself
and help you decide where you should be going. Outside facilitation allows all members of
an organization to effectively participate in the planning process without having to play
dual roles of organizing and leading. Planning can mean starting from scratch, or it can be
bringing what youve already done up to date.
Meeting Facilitation
Many times in developing partnerships, collaborations or
networks, deciding whos in charge gets in the way of the process. Using
AHEC staff as a neutral party to facilitate your meeting is an effective way to level the
playing field.
Conflict
Resolution
Conflict is a healthy part of group dynamics. Unresolved
conflict, however, impedes progress and may destroy a collaborative effort. AHEC staff
will work with your group to help them understand how to better deal with difficult
dynamics and complex interests.
