Research Methods and Statistical Techniques Brown Bag

The Research Methods and Statistical Techniques Brown Bag is a monthly meeting of faculty and students interested in advancing their knowledge of research methods and statistical techniques. Bring your own lunch and spend the first 15 minutes of this monthly meeting networking with your research colleagues. A brief 15 minute presentation will be provided by one of your peers followed by 30 minutes of open discussion. This session proposes to help participants understand the context and motivation for the application of the chosen monthly statistical technique. Participation is designed to improve your critical and scientific thinking as we explore the appropriate match between research questions, study design and methods, and statistical techniques.

Veterans' Walls of Honor

In celebration of Veterans' Day on November 11, the Veterans' Walls of Honor are once again up in the Academic Center, Health Sciences Building, Nursing Building, Phase I Classroom Building, and South Campus Facility. You (all faculty, staff and students) are invited to write the name(s), messages, tributes, and/or place photos of family members and friends who have served or are currently serving in the military. The walls will remain up until November 18, 2009.

Riverpoint Campus Food Drive for 2nd Harvest

Through Friday, November 20

These days there are many individuals and families in Spokane who are struggling with putting food on the table.

The Riverpoint Campus will be holding a food drive for 2nd Harvest from November 4th-November 20th. Two collection barrels will be located at the WSU Spokane Student Affairs Office on the first floor of the Academic Center. Some of the “most needed food items” are: peanut butter, canned meat, hearty soups, mac & cheese, boxed dinners, beans of all kinds, canned fruits & veggies, juice, boxed mashed potatoes, dried fruit, pasta, rice, healthy cereals, flour, oatmeal, etc.
