Larry Hoffman has served as the Director of Information Technology Services for WSU Spokane since 1998. Hoffman directs the design, development, and implementation of information technology services, infrastructure, and networks. He also plans and directs the overall operation of campus information technology services including data, voice, and video communications; hardware maintenance support; systems and applications programming; technical operations; and library technical services. His professional technical services role on the Riverpoint Campus includes the integration of the technology needs of Eastern Washington University into a common network backbone that is managed by WSU Spokane technical support personnel.
Hoffman received his BA degree from California State University, San Diego,
and his MBA in Computer Information Systems from National University, also in
San Diego. Hoffman serves on a number of university committees as well as the
City of Spokane Technology Task Force, the Pacific Northwest Gigapop committee,
and WWAMI (Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana, Idaho) Classroom Project
Committees.
Prior to joining WSU, Hoffman worked for Washington State’s Department of
Corrections as the Northeast Regional Technology Manager (1992–1996) and was a
division director for National University (1980–1992).
