Little Moments. Big Magic.
School-based mentors are community volunteers willing to provide one hour
each week to children needing some guidance, support and FUN. One-to-one
matches are made between identified children and enthusiastic community
volunteers. Time together is spent lunching, relaxing, chatting, strolling the
schoolyard, laughing and enjoying one another's company. All meetings take
place at the school during school hours. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Spokane
partners with the school district in sponsoring this important community
program that benefits children by providing them with a consistent adult
presence who cares, who shares, and who reminds them of their worth with each
and every visit. To find out more call Spokane Public Schools volunteer office
at 354-7340 or BBBS at 328-8310. Little Moments. BIG Magic!
