The Exercise Science graduate program is located in the Health Science Building, which houses state-of-the-art laboratories and clinical space for a number of programs.

Human Exercise Physiology Laboratory
Occupying 900 square feet of space in HSB 332, the lab houses equipment such as:
- Jaegar Oxycon Pro-TP metabolic system with 12 channel PC-EKG
- SensorMedics Vmax29C metabolic system with Cardiosoft 12 lead EKG
- Tango system blood pressure interface
- Trackmaster and SensorMedics treadmills
- ER-900, ER-800, and ER-arm ergometers
- Pulse oximeter
- Monak cycle ergometers, and various equipment for assessing body composition, heart rate, and blood pressure in the laboratory and at off-campus sites.
HSB 310K
Dr. Blank's research group occupies a dedicated 1,000 square foot lab, with equipment that includes:
- Six-foot Baker SterilGard hood, Class II
- Jouan CR3i refrigerated table-top centrifuge
- Nuaire NU-4950 Autoflow water jacketed C02/O2 incubator
- Meridian Eclipse E 400 microscope
- Meridian TS100F Inverted microscope
- Other equipment, including: Microcentrifuges, pH meters, eight-channel pipettors, micropipettors, refrigerators and freezers, ThermoForma -80°C freezer, Millipore Elix water purification system, water baths, top-loading balances and microbalances, magnetic cell separator (Miltenyi Biotec Inc), electrophoresis equipment (gel boxes, power supplies), and a 25-liter liquid nitrogen dewar.
HSB 310M
Dr. Johnson's research group occupies a dedicated, 610 square foot lab, with such equipment as:
- Six-foot Baker SterilGard laminar flow hood, Class II
- Hermle LabnetZ 323K refrigerated table-top centrifuge
- Sanyo MCO-175M tri-gas incubator
- Sanyo MCO-17AIC CO2 incubator
- Microscopes, including: Leica DMLB phase contrast, Nikon dissecting with Dyna-Lume heat shield and Dyna Lume light, Nikon Eclipse TS-100 inverted phase
- Beckman DU640 spectrophotometer
- Victor 2 1420 Multilabel Counter
- Computer equipment includes: Compaq Presario 7000T computer with Epson Stylus Color 900 printer, Hewlett Packard ScanJet ADF scanner and Dell Pentium 4, 1.4 GHD computer
- Mini-Protean 3 gel electrophoresis system
- Other general laboratory equipment, including: Microcentrifuge, pH meter, multi-channel pipettors, micropipettors, refrigerators and freezers, Nuaire -86°C 20 cu.ft.ultralow freezer, Varimix platform rocker, Labconco Flaskscrubber, water baths, top loading balance, analytical balance, liquid nitrogen storage systems, Millipore Elix water purification system, and an Amerex portable autoclave.
