Careers in Exercise Science

Exercise science students are trained for positions in rehabilitation and clinical agencies, as well as for graduate school and advanced research.

The graduate degree prepares students for testing and certification in clinical physiology by the American College of Sports Medicine, the premier certifying body for clinical, health, and fitness standards.

Career preparation

The Clinical Exercise Physiology curriculum (non-thesis or thesis option) will prepare you to become a:

  • Clinical Exercise Physiologist
  • Clinical Research Technician
  • Sport Medicine Exercise Specialist

 

Experimental Exercise Physiology (thesis option) trains you to become an:

  • Academic Research Technician
  • Corporate Research Technician
  • Doctoral student
