| As of fall 2008, the decision has been made to discontinue the Bachelor of Arts
in Leadership and Professional Studies. This decision was not driven by concern
for the quality of the degree, but rather by the need to shift resources to
areas that have a greater potential for growth on the Spokane campus,
particularly in the health and biomedical sciences.
Current students will be allowed to complete the degree if they remain
continuously registered for the next four semesters through Spring 2010, but no
new students are being admitted.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Acceptance into the BA in Professional Development requires an Associate of
Arts (AA) degree from a community college or completion of lower-division
coursework at WSU Pullman or another accredited institution.
The AA degree will "direct transfer" as 60 credits, including the completion of all
lower-division general education requirements. Your transfer transcripts will be
reviewed by faculty to ensure you're ready to enter into the upper-division
coursework. Up to 73 approved semester credits may be transferred to WSU.
If you are planning to transfer from WSU Pullman or another accredited
institution, you are required to have completed at least 60 credits of college
coursework with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or better. In addition, completion of
all lower-division general education requirements is required.
For more information on lower-division coursework accepted for entry into the
program, please refer to the
BA in Professional Development
Information and Transfer Advising Sheet.
How to apply
If you will have met the above requirements by the time you enroll in the
program, you may apply to WSU Spokane. Although applications are accepted on an
ongoing basis, we encourage you to apply by early spring for fall semester
admission to allow time to make up any prerequisite deficiencies, if necessary.
To apply:
- Complete an Undergraduate Application for
Admission. You may
apply online or mail your application. Printable applications are
available on the
Admissions Applications page. You can also contact student services at
509-358-7537 or enroll@wsu.edu and
request for a paper application to be mailed to you.
- Include a $38 nonrefundable application fee
with your application.
- Arrange to have official transcripts
sent directly from each college or university attended showing work
completed at the time of application. Final and complete transcripts must be
submitted prior to your initial enrollment.
