WSU Spokane, established in 1989, is the urban campus of Washington State University. WSU is a public land-grant research university founded in 1890, with four campuses located in Pullman, Spokane, Tri-Cities, and Vancouver. Spokane's urban setting offers students a learning and research community that gives students hands-on opportunities for professional growth and academic excellence. Our faculty are required to conduct research and creative scholarship, bringing the most current knowledge in their disciplines to students in the classroom. Students at WSU Spokane may have the opportunity to work with faculty on grant-supported research and publications, key indicators of scholarly achievement.
Washington State University is classified as a Carnegie "Doctoral/Research University-Extensive" institution. Such institutions typically offer a wide range of baccalaureate programs, and are committed to graduate education through the doctorate. To be included in this classification, during the period studied (1995-98, the most recent period examined), the institution must have awarded 50 or more doctoral degrees per year across at least 15 disciplines. This classification applies to all campuses of WSU, as we are a statewide system.
Students at WSU Spokane range from full-time, traditional students continuing their undergraduate studies, to working adults balancing family responsibilities and community involvement with their studies.

Tuition & Fees - Fall 2006 and Spring 2007 Please note this chart includes only undergraduate and graduate resident and nonresident rates. WSU has several different programs with different rates including studies in Veterinary Medicine, Doctor of Pharmacy, Graduate in Nursing, WWAMI, and a Special Masters in Business Administration. If you are interested in one of those areas, please contact those departments for their entrance requirements and tuition rates. Rates listed below are per semester.

What forms of financial aid are available to
Washington State University Spokane Students?
Financial aid is available to eligible domestic students enrolled in a minimum
of six credit hours.
You will need to complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form to determine your eligibility. An online application is available at www.fafsa.gov.

Where is Washington State University Spokane
located?
All classes are held on campus at the Riverpoint Higher Education Park, located
on North Riverpoint Boulevard, just a couple of blocks from downtown Spokane.
The scenic Spokane River borders campus, with the Centennial Trail connecting
it to downtown.

What transportation is available to get to campus?
Spokane Transit Authority (STA) buses make scheduled stops at the Riverpoint
Campus.
The Centennial Trail connects the campus to downtown with a short 10-minute
walk.
Where do I park on campus?
Parking permits and information are available through the Parking Services
Office located in the South Campus Facilities Building, West side behind Bookie
room 314 . The campus
utilizes a color zone system to offer student budget options.
Metered spaces are available to the public adjacent to each building on campus.

What facilities does the Washington State University
Spokane campus offer?
WSU Spokane's library is a comprehensive electronic research facility with
access to numerous online services.
Computer labs in campus buildings provide access to the latest software
applications for student use and instruction. Internet and e-mail access is
available to all Washington State University Spokane students from on and off
campus; Yahoo! consistently names WSU one of the most wired universities in the
nation.
The new Health Sciences Building (144,000 gross square feet) holds over 21,000
of wet and dry lab space with the latest equipment.
The Phase I Classroom Building houses studio space for the design disciplines
overlooking the river and downtown.

ASWSU Spokane provides students with low-cost or free opportunities to gather
