According to Dr. Gregory Belenky, director of WSU’s Sleep and Performance Research Center in Spokane, the latest research shows that daytime naps are just as good as getting your required amount of sleep in one stretch. “From what we know, dividing your sleep is either the same or better than consolidated sleep,” he says.
