The Secrets of CSI
Young Women's Summer Science Camp
Explore the exciting field of criminal forensics in this hands-on, interactive summer camp.
Each participant will become a member of a small crime scene investigation team whose job it is to create a campus crime scene and solve others based on real lab skills learned throughout the week, such as:
- DNA extraction and analysis,
- protein analysis,
- fingerprinting, and
- blood typing.
On the last day of camp, teams will present their own episode of CSI through a re-creation of crime scenes for family and friends. The week also includes a fieldtrip to Eastern Washington University, where campers will be introduced to science careers through professional demonstrations and a campus tour.
Each participant receives a t-shirt, daily afternoon snacks, bus ride to EWU, an afternoon spent at Wild Walls, and the forensic skills to stump your family and friends.
