Orientation
August 11, 2008
Orientation starts at 8:30 AM in the
Academic Center,
Room 20 (lower level). We will provide
- Box lunch at 12:00 noon (video shown) and
- BBQ dinner at 5:30 PM (family and friends are welcome). Be sure you’ve marked food allergy concerns and number of guests on the appropriate form in your Summer Packet.
- Final RSVP date for meal count: Monday, August 4; we need to be sure we have enough food for everyone.
August 12, 2008
The second day of orientation, we'll take a “team
building” rafting trip on the Spokane River (for students/staff only).
- We will put in at Water Avenue at 10:30 AM.
- Map and driving directions (PDF)
- Lunch will be provided after the trip is over; we suggest you bring sunscreen and water (in non-breakable containers) for yourself while on the river.
Textbooks
- To assist you, the Spokane campus bookstore (“The Bookie”) is purchasing required student textbooks
- The Bookie is committed to finding used books in good condition or new books at the lowest price possible. You may also wish to shop around.
- Required textbooks, to date (DOC).
- We will update the list weekly until it is final.
