Cultural Diversity

The Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences is committed to increasing cultural diversity within our programs.

To accomplish this goal, we work together with the WSU Graduate School and the Office of Multicultural Student Affairs to ensure that all students find a comfortable and supportive campus environment conducive to personal growth and advanced study.

We take particular pride in our Native Americans in Communication Disorders training project. It provides students of American Indian heritage with the financial, educational, and social support necessary for professional preparation as speech-language pathologists.
